  Two years after Sin's destruction, seen in Final Fantasy X, the land of Spira has nearly recovered from the chaos caused by Sin. Many of Spira's inhabitants are enjoying this time of peace, known as the "Eternal Calm". However, many people have also enjoyed the use of machina, forbidden by the traditions of Yevon, once revered and respected throughout Spira. During this change, Yuna searches for Tidus, her long lost love and on her quest to find him she learns more about Spira's secret past.
