How do I learn new techniques?
 

You can techcopy techniques. In other words, you can copy techniques from other players as they are using them.
 

How do I use techcopy?
 

When a player is using a technique, techcopy will flash on the screen in blue or white. As it's flashing in white, press the X button. The likelihood of successfully techcopying depends on your player's relative level to the opponent and the accuracy of the timing.
 

Can I copy any technique?
 

You can techcopy the majority of techniques, however, there are a few which you cannot techcopy:

Techniques that cannot be techcopied: Jecht Shoot, Jecht Shoot 2, Auroch Spirit, Elite Defense, Brawler, Pile Venom, Pile Wither, Regen, Good Morning!, Hi Risk, Golden Arm, Gamble.
